Bentley Continental GTC Speed
The recent introduction of the Bentley Continental GTC lineup brings a subtle update to its distinctive style, incorporating a variety of comfort and customer choice-oriented technical and feature upgrades. It is now further augmented by the new Bentley Continental GTC Speed model boasting a powerful 600bhp (610PS) engine, an homage to the legendary "Speed Models" developed in the 1920s.
The exterior styling of the GTC models features a more upright radiator grille, accentuating the sleek profile, a squarer edge, and a lower air intake. Chrome headlamp bezels, two new paints, and a fresh colour hide give it a distinct look. For the standard Bentley Continental GTC, low-friction dampers accommodate a smoother ride. Moreover, it can be outfitted with two new options: lightweight, fade-resistant, carbon-ceramic brakes and a sophisticated Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system with a long-range radar sensor that monitors traffic and adjusts to maintain a driver-controlled time gap.
The GTC's chassis and body can easily handle the 552bhp (560PS) 6-litre W12 engine. The twin-turbocharged version powering the Bentley Continental GTC Speed produces 600bhp (610PS) and can reach a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h) with the roof up, and 195 mph (312 km/h) with it down.
