BMW 320d Touring
The BMW E90/E91/E92/E93 series is the fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars, manufactured between 2004 and 2013. These vehicles come in four body styles: sedan/saloon (E90 model code), estate/wagon (E91 model code, known as "Touring"), coupe (E92 model code), and cabriolet (E93 model code). The separate model codes for the body styles have given rise to the acronym "E9X" for the series. The E90/E91 sedan and wagon were replaced by the BMW F30/F31 in 2012, while the E92/E93 coupe and cabriolet stayed in production until 2013 when they were replaced by the BMW F32/F33.
The range was launched with the 4-door sedan and wagon; the coupe and cabriolet were added in 2006. A distinguishing feature of the fifth generation is the introduction of the TwinPower turbocharged petrol engine on the 335i. Additionally, cars equipped with run-flat tyres do not come with a spare wheel. The E90/E92/E93 M3, equipped with the S65 v8 engine, was released in 2007 in sedan, coupe, and cabriolet body styles.
Sedan (E90)
The saloon model was the first to be released of the fifth-generation BMW 3 series. It arrived to the US market in 2005 as a 2006 model with 325i/xi and 330i/xi trims. 2007 marked the engine upgrade with the debut of the 328i/xi and 335i/xi, the latter receiving the 3.0 litres twin-turbo inline-6 engine. Canadian markets saw the addition of the 323i rear-wheel-drive sedan as the most affordable trim. It did not have standard features like Xenon headlamps, fog lamps, automatic climate control, power-adjustable seats, satellite navigation, premium audio and Dakota leather upholstery, these being only optional. In 2011, the BMW 323i Luxury Edition came out, featuring an automatic transmission, 17-inch alloy wheels, electric front seats, Bluetooth and USB compatibility, and an electric glass sunroof.
