The BMW 320d EfficientDynamics Edition is making its debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. This innovative saloon model combines remarkable fuel efficiency (4.1 litres diesel/100 kilometres, or 68.9 mpg imp) and a CO2 rating of 109 g/km in the EU test cycle with a powerful engine output of 120 kW/163 hp.
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine features an aluminium construction, turbocharging with variable intake geometry and common-rail direct fuel injection with piezo-injectors. This high-tech model boasts enhanced aerodynamics, a longer final drive ratio, and an innovative two-mass flywheel with centrifugal-force pendulum, allowing for remarkable fuel efficiency and low emissions - making it the most fuel-efficient and lowest-emission car in the BMW range.
