BMW 328

The BMW 328 Roadster was a high-performance sports car first introduced by BMW's engineers in mid-1936, with production beginning in spring 1937. Engine-wise, the car was powered by the M328 engine, which was far more powerful than its competitors at the time despite the same engine size. With a regular version achieving 80 hp and a weight of just 830 kg or 1,830 lb, the BMW 328 Roadster wowed the competition at its debut at Nürburgring on 14 June 1936. On the road, it achieved a top speed of 155 km/h or 96 mph impressing many private customers. Unfortunately, this classic roadster was only produced until 1940, with only 464 units being built. The BMW 328 exemplified the combination of superior engine power and cutting-edge suspension still characteristic of BMW roadsters today.
