German premium carmaker BMW has developed three brand-new models exclusively for the Chinese market - the BMW 530Li, 525Li and 523Li - to extend the already successful line-up of BMW 5-Series models. The most significant exterior feature versus current models is its 140 millimetre (or 5.5 inches) increase in wheelbase, which provides an improved grand touring comfort for passengers on the rear seats. It also features a rear console with an integrated entertainment system designed especially for the BMW 530Li and BMW 525Li. The new BMW 530Li, BMW 525Li and BMW 523Li built at the Shenyang Plant in Liaoning prove BMW's commitment to the Chinese car market with its specific needs and expectations.

The latest BMW 5-Series models offer optimum driving dynamics and motoring comfort, with power being transmitted to the rear axle and weight-optimised construction achieving agility in their class. The BMW 530Li's 3.0-litre engine develops an impressive 190 kW/258 hp, while the BMW 525Li's 2.5-litre engine produces a maximum output of 160 kW/218 hp and the BMW 523Li's 2.5-litre engine offering 130 kW/177 hp.
