BMW 530xi Touring

The BMW E60/E61 series is the fifth generation of the BMW 5 Series which was on sale from 2003 to 2010. It came out as a sedan and was later introduced with a "Touring" (wagon/estate) body style in 2004. Ten years later, it was succeeded by the F10/F11 5 Series. Its creator, M5, is equipped with an S85 V10 engine and is up for grabs in both sedan and wagon body designs. Most of these cars have a 7-speed automated manual transmission ("SMG III"). Development Development for the E60 was launched in 1997 and was completed in 2003. The insignia, design conceived by Davide Arcangeli with the supervision of Chris Bangle, was given a nod in 2000 and German design patents were filed on April 16, 2002. Comparison with predecessor Unlike the E39, the E60 5-Series showed remarkable difference from the 7 Series. It consists of lengthier measurements in width, height, and weight, which translated to extra space in the trunk and cabin. Its design also incorporated a roundish shape, iDrive and LCD display, and a layout that diverges from the previously established driver-centric E39. Aftermarket parts Given the warm reception from the motoring public, the E60 became the topic of after-market parts. Subsequent releases of M-Sport clones by reputable companies like Hartge, AC Schnitzer Hamann, and Dinan provided cheaper alternatives than unfit original counterparts. Several companies also produced a plethora of performance parts that have further enhanced the driving experience of the already powerful E60.
