BMW M Roadster 1999 posters

BMW M Roadster

The BMW M Roadster is based on the BMZ Z3 and M Coupe models. European versions produced between 1998 to 2001 were equipped with the S50 engine, which was previously used to power the 1995-1998 M3 Eavo and delivered 321 bhp and 350 Nm (258 ft·lbf) of torque. North American models were fitted with the 3.0L S52 engine, producing 240 hp and 320 Nm (236 ft·lbf). In 2001, BMW made a revision to the M Roadster, equipping it with a new 3.2L S54 engine. This engine became the highest output naturally aspirated production engine ever made by BMW at the time (not taking into consideration the S70/2 GTR LM engine from the McLaren F1 LM), delivering 325 bhp (320 hp) and 353 Nm (261 ft·lbf) of torque. The M Roadster was only produced with the S54 engine for two years, and was discontinued after the 2002 model year.
