The coupé completed a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6 seconds and the acceleration only ended when the electronics brought the maximum speed cap of 250 km/h. The DIN consumption values were at a level impressive even with mid-range cars, with the BMW M3 only using 9.1 litres of super in the Euromix formula. Incorporating a catalytic converter with the "stereo" oxygen sensors and revising the catalytic converter technology to meet the new engine's needs, the exhaust requirements were exceeded by more than half.
