BMW M4 Coupe MotoGP Safety Car
At the start of the 2014 MotoGP season, the brand new BMW M4 Coupé makes its debut as the official Safety Car. This high-performance sports car epitomizes BMW's well-rounded approach to performance and style. Drawing upon racing DNA like its brother, the BMW M3 Limousine, the M4 Coupé was tested extensively at the iconic Nürburgring-Nordschleife racetrack. Undergoing thousands of laps, the car was experimented with and perfected to achieve a top output of 431hp with a peak torque of 550 Nm. The M4 Coupé can go from 0-100 in just 4.1 seconds.
This impressive car was engineered with ultimate driving dynamics in mind and also weighs 80 kilograms less than its predecessor. Lightweight materials were used throughout, such as a carbon roof, and certain BMW M Performance Parts such as a titanium exhaust system with carbon finishers, a black front grille, and side skirts were added to enhance the car's exterior.
In the interior, you'll find a BMW M Performance steering wheel with a race display at 12 o'clock, made of Alcantara for a secure grip, RECARO racing seats, Schroth belts, stainless steel pedals, carbon and Alcantara gear lever and handbrake cover, and BMW M Performance foot mats. Additionally, the car features LED lights on the front apron, roof, and an eye-catching livery, guaranteeing that the M4 Coupé will be recognized as the Safety Car on the track.
