The new BMW M5 Touring is now available to British customers, offering ultimate practicality and performance in one package. Packing the back-to-back International Engine of the Year-winning engine and mated to a seven-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox with Drivelogic, it delivers full level of performance with up to 1,650 litres of storage space in the boot.
Performance
At the heart of the M5 Touring is the 5.0-litre V-10 cylinder engine offering 507hp and 520Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from zero to 62mph in 4.8 seconds. With the 155mph electronic limiter removed, the M5 Touring is capable of reaching 200mph and transporting large loads with ease.
As BMW UK's Product Manager for the new M5 Touring, Lee Connolly astutely notes, "The M5 Touring will be the perfect car for delivering supercar owners' luggage to their holiday homes in France or Spain. Usefully, their luggage will arrive before they do!"
Transmission
The seven-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox with Drivelogic is the world's first for a production car. It features eleven different change patterns and a Launch Control function to deliver fast and smooth acceleration.
