BMW M6 Coupe Competition Package
BMW M cars are renowned for their superior performance characteristics that provide an incomparable driving experience. This can be experienced even more intensely with the BMW M5, BMW M6 Coupe, BMW M6 Convertible, and BMW M6 Gran Coupe. From July 2013, BMW M GmbH will be introducing the Competition Package as an additional option in these powerful models, opening up new levels of dynamic driving.
The Competition Package increases engine performance to 423 kW/575 hp in the V8 powered models, and with extensive adjustments to the suspension and damping systems, as well as the stabiliser bars, the handling abilities have been significantly improved. In the BMW M5, the car is lowered by 10 millimetres, with the aim of enhancing the driving precision for all models. The rear axle subframe design, based on race-derived techniques, and the elastokinematics of the front axle, are utilised to the fullest in these models with the Competition Package.
