The BMW X5 M50d and X6 M50d are even more confident performers thanks to increased diesel power and their M-specific set-up. With a maximum output of 280 kW/381 hp and a peak torque of 740 Newton metres (546 lb-ft), these two X models leave all other diesels in their class behind. The X5 M50d races from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.4 seconds while the X6 M50d does it in 5.3 seconds. Adding to their power is their diesel engine's great acceleration at higher speeds. Both the X5 and X6 models have a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
