BMW Z4 2.5i

The BMW Z4 is a 2-door sports car that replaced the Z3 in 2003. Developed by BMW and designed by Chris Bangle, the Z4 features a rear wheel drive, a stiffer chassis and more powerful engine than its predecessor. It is built in Spartanburg, South Carolina and was initially available only as a roadster, but a coupé version was released in 2006. The 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine produces 184 bhp at 6000 rpm. BMW claims the car can reach a speed of 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds with a manual gearbox. It weighs 1,335 kg (2,932 lb), with the 3.0 L variant being 30 kg (66 lb) heavier. This is, however, still lighter than the 2.5 L Z3's weight of 1315 kg (2899 lb). Additionally, a 3.0 L, 170 kW (231 bhp) (at 5900 rpm) straight six and a 3.2 L, 246 kW (330 bhp) at 7900 rpm and (262 lb-ft) of torque at (4900 rpm) are offered. All engines are paired with a manual 5 or 6-speed gearbox and optional 5-speed automatic or 6-speed SMG transmissions, except for the 3.0 L and M Roadster which get 6-speed Getrag. An optional Sport package adds stiffer and lower suspension, larger wheels with run-flat tires, and Dynamic Driving control.
