BMW i3 Coupe Concept

At the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, the BMW Group made history with the world premiere of the BMW i3 Concept Coupe. This concept car showcases an agile and emotive version of sustainable premium-class motoring with zero local emissions. This particular model is part of the ongoing development process for the very first all-electric BMW i car, and it features cutting-edge design inspired by sustainability. The carbon-fibre body of the BMW i3 Coupe Concept is marked by a flowing coupe roof line and the BMW i “stream flow” design, which is seen in the side window styling. This gives a sense of lightness, transparency, and aerodynamic qualities. Inside, this three-door model offers a unique sense of spaciousness complemented by an exclusive lounge-style ambience in its two individual rear seats. What truly sets the BMW i3 Coupe Concept apart from other vehicles, however, is that it is the world's first fully networked electric vehicle. It comes with innovative BMW ConnectedDrive functions designed for e-mobility, which facilitate navigation system and information transfer between the vehicle, the outside world, and the driver's smartphone.
