Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire
Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. unveiled the Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show as a special commission to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the company. This marked the start of a series of global events honoring Bugatti's long-standing history. Alongside the Bleu Centenaire, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport also made its European debut at the show.
Hundred years of Bugatti
Ettore Bugatti founded "Ettore Bugatti Automobiles i.Els." in Molsheim, France back in 1909. And while the company has changed its name to "Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S.", the same place and ethos remain intact. In 2006, the first model under new leadership was released—50 years after the last car of the original Bugatti company left the factory. Since then, the Bugatti Veyron has established itself as a pillar of the automotive world with 250 orders and nearly 200 cars delivered. Only 50 remaining Veyrons will be sold before the entire fleet of 300 units is exhausted.
The Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire
The Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire was designed in line with the ‘Art - Form - Technique’ values of the brand. Intended to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the company, this unique model bears a traditional two-tone colour scheme in the original Bugatti light blue shade. Roof trim stripes and the exterior rearview mirrors are of polished, anodised aluminium, while customised wheels come with a bright red brake capillar. Inside, ‘Snowbeige’ leather is quilted on the seats and panel, while the LED lights, Park Distance Control, and rearview camera are added features for all Veyrons this year. It has all the same performance qualities as other Veyron models in terms of acceleration, deceleration, and speed, and is priced at 1,35 Million Euro excluding taxes and transportation.
