Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse WRC

At the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, Bugatti proudly showcased the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, recently driven to its record-breaking 408.84 km/h velocity. This stunning production roadster was the first opportunity for worldwide auto fans to witness the car that holds the world record for being the fastest cabriolet. With China being one of the primary markets for the French luxury car brand, Bugatti decided to further commemorate the setting of the world record by creating an exclusive World Record Car (WRC)version, limited to just eight models. At Auto Shanghai 2013, Bugatti President Dr Wolfgang Schreiber and Chinese entrepreneur and world record driver, Anthony Liu, unveiled the 1,200 PS Vitesse, marking its world debut after officially becoming the quickest cabriolet in the world. Dr Schreiber commented on the Chinese market, which is an essential part of Bugatti's future plans: "We are striving for steady, sustained growth in China as this is a market that becomes increasingly intrigued by our technological innovations, power, and record-breaking achievements. Our choice to invite a Chinese Bugatti enthusiast to drive the Vitesse to a world record time and bring the car to Shanghai further reinforces our commitment to the Chinese market."
