Buick Century 2000 posters

Buick Century

The Buick Century was made for the last time in 1997, when its platform switched from the aging A-body to the W-body. It was only available as a four-door sedan, but distinguished from its Regal counterpart in trim and engine differences. With a lower price tag than the Regal, the Century had less power and was plainer. Despite this, the design was still well-proportioned and the car kept its reputation for quality. As the Skylark was no longer in production in 1998, the Century had now become Buick’s entry-level car, competing with the likes of the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. Differentiating the Century from other late-model Buicks is not difficult. It has a traditional Buick style with some chrome, while the body-colored grille of the Regal gives it a unique look. Moreover, the Century has rounder headlights and a more angular grille which sets it apart from the LeSabre. Engines 1996-1999 3.1 3.1 L (191 in³) V6 160 hp, 185 ft·lbf
