Buick LaCrosse GL Concept
Designers wanted to encapsulate the sophistication of Buick luxury when they created the LaCrosse GL concept car that is being showcased at the 2011 L.A. Auto Show. Taking cues from vintage jewelry pieces with their burnished metal, ombré patina and flocked-lining, the interior was decorated with French-stitched cabernet red, dark cocoa brown and caramel chocochino premium leather upholstery with a headliner of velvet like suede. According to David Lyon, executive director of design, this concept "expresses Buick's distinctly human kind of luxury" that is "as warmly inviting as it is elegant".
The car's exterior is painted in cabernet red with brushed and tinted chrome accents while the 20-inch machine-face, satin-finish wheels add a planted appearance. All these design elements will also provide inspiration for future Buick models just like the current production LaCrosse.
