Buick LeSabre

Introduced in 1999 as the Buick LeSabre 2000 on the G-body, the 2000 LeSabre made the nameplate famous. A significant change made to the LeSabre was a grille that did not open with the hood, and it featured an overall stiffer structure due to the new chassis and small external dimensions with larger interior room. The car had three trim levels which were the Custom and Limited, and later in 2003 a Celebration Edition package was added to mark Buick's Centennial. Advanced features such as Stabilitrak, OnStar, EyeCue heads-up display, all-weather traction control, automatic load-leveling, side airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, heated seats, dual-zone climate control, and RainSense automatic windshield wipers were available on the car. With the title of America's Best-selling Full-size Car, LeSabre ceased production at the end of the 2005 model year and was replaced with the 2006 Buick Lucerne. The last LeSabre rolled off the assembly line in Lake Orion, Michigan on June 18, 2004, and the last one rolled off the assembly line in Hamtramck, Michigan on July 22, 2005. The power and torque of the car was 205 hp and 230 lbs./ft., respectively.
