Buick LeSabre Limited

The Buick LeSabre Limited 2000 was introduced in 1999 on the G-body platform. Following the 2000 model year, the nameplate reverted to the LeSabre. This vehicle was manufactured in GM's Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly factory in Hamtramck, Michigan with a revised version of the G platform shared with Pontiac Bonneville and the 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. The LeSabre boasted several eye-catching features including a grille that did not open with the hood, increased overall stiffness from its new chassis, reduced exterior size but with a spacious interior. The LeSabre featured the Custom and Limited trim levels in 2000 and a Celebration Edition package was added in 2003 to commemorate Buick's Centennial. The Celebration Edition had standard equipment from the Limited model with its own white Pearl or Crimson tricoat paint and blacked-out grille, 16" chrome wheels as well as exclusive badging. Optional and additional standard features included Stabilitrak, OnStar, EyeCue heads-up display, an all-weather traction control system, an automatic load-leveling system, side airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, heated seats, a dual-zone climate control, and dynamic RainSense windshield wipers. Before its end in the 2005 model year, the LeSabre was honored as America's Best-Selling Full-size Car. The Buick LeSabre was then replaced with the 2006 Lucerne. The last LeSabre rolled off the Lake Orion, Michigan assembly line on June 18, 2004 and the final Hamtramck, Michigan LeSabre exited its assembly line on July 22, 2005. Its power was 205 horsepower and torque a total of 230 lbs./ft.
