Buick Lucerne Super 2008 posters

Buick Lucerne Super

Buick has resurrected a classic name, Super, to signify their most luxurious and powerful models. This moniker, given exclusively to Buick's most elite models, returns after 50 years. Appearing on the 2008 LaCrosse and Lucerne sedans, this badge stands for much more than just a higher horsepower. "The Super is representative of design, quality and ride characteristics exclusive to this badge," according to Steve Shannon, General Manager of Buick. Engineered for Buick by the GM Performance Division, the Super delivers performance when called upon. The LaCrosse Super features a 5.3L small-block V-8 with 300 horsepower, plus GM's Active Fuel Management technology. In addition, its chassis is sport-tuned for responsive maneuvering, while still providing Buick's signature quiet interior. The Lucerne Super, powered by a 292 horsepower 4.6L Northstar V-8, is given an even more enhanced chassis with Magnetic Ride Control, resulting in an optimal, smooth ride that is perfect for cornering. Demonstrating the modernity of Buick, design cues on the Lucerne and LaCrosse Super take inspiration from the Velite convertible concept vehicle and the new Enclave luxury crossover SUV. These models display a sleek, new waterfall grille and portholes - four per side specifically to highlight the V-8 motor. Buick Super: elevated design, power and performance
