Buick Rainier CXL 2006 posters

Buick Rainier CXL

Buick's first full-frame sport utility vehicle, the Rainier, has been enhanced with higher standard levels of capability for 2006. It sports elegant new exterior designs that provide a premium presence among SUVs. For the first time, the Rainier features the GM StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, combined with traction control, standard on all available models. This system helps drivers retain control on sudden turns or when driving on low traction surfaces by using sensors to detect acceleration, deceleration, steering angle and yaw rate. If it detects a deviation from the path set by the driver, the system automatically adjusts the vehicle's acceleration or brakes on each wheel to maintain control. In addition, the Rainier has chromed accents on the side roof rails and exterior door handles, a new front grille design with a large Buick tri-shield emblem, as well as a body-colored rear exterior license plate surround and liftgate handle. Steve Shannon, Buick general manager, said, "Making StabiliTrak technology standard on the Rainier underscores our commitment to providing Buick customers with a comprehensive package of luxury, comfort and safety."
