The all-new 2014 Cadillac CTS sedan has been designed to reach the heart of the midsize luxury market, offering enhanced performance, luxuriousness and technological sophistication. Built off of the successful rear-drive architecture from the ATS sport sedan, the third-generation CTS sedan places Cadillac in the elite level of midsize luxury sedans. By measuring 127mm in length and with a 1.2" longer wheelbase, the CTS sedan holds the lightest weight in this segment, lending itself to the most agile driving experience in class. The new Cadillac Twin-Turbo engine and eight-speed automatic transmission powers the car, providing it with power-dense and efficient performance.
The design of the car accentuates its lean aesthetic, creating an appearance of a longer, lower, and more athletic-looking proportion and expanding the Art & Science design philosophy of Cadillac.By incorporating aluminum door structures, the CTS sedan is 200 pounds (90 kg) lighter than the BMW 528i. The car also includes Magnetic Ride Control, which is available on base models and acts as Cadillac’s real-time damping system.
