The Cadillac CTS-V is the first model in the carmaker's V-Series lineup of luxury performance vehicles. This dynamic luxury sedan has a bold and striking construction and is also powered by an LS6 V8 engine mated to a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission, giving it a whopping 298 kW (400 hp) and comparatively quick 0-96 km/h acceleration time of 4.6 seconds with a maximum speed of 262 km/h.
Designed to face up to sports sedans from foreign brands such as BMW M-Series, Mercedes-Benz AMG Series and Audi S-Series, the CTS-V is based on the company's rear-wheel drive Sigma architecture which also underpins the CTS and SRX versions. It is identifiable from the other CTS models by small additions such as larger front and rear fascias, seven-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels, a wire-mesh upper grille and lower air intake, and distinct "V-series" badging.
