Cadillac Ciel Concept

The Cadillac Ciel Concept - pronounced "C-L," the French translation for sky - is a vehicle that embraces the brand's iconic Art & Science philosophy. It pushes the limits of traditional Cadillac design as a four-seat convertible that is spacious and grand. Fitted with a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Direct Injection V-6 engine, paired to a hybrid system featuring lithium-ion battery technology, the Cadillac Ciel Concept is the perfect vehicle for exploring multiple horizons. Coastal inspiration The Ciel team was inspired by taking drives along California's iconic Highway 1 as the sun sets. “The Ciel is about the romance of the drive,” said Clay Dean, global design director for Cadillac. “It emulates the great touring cars seen on the greens at Pebble Beach, but with a modern flair that projects Cadillac’s vision for the future.” To honor Cadillac’s long-standing heritage, the car has a long, low proportion with distinguishing fender lines running from nose to tail, and nickel-plated brightwork accenting its body lines. The French-style doors with no B-pillar open wide, granting a sweeping view of the luxurious interior and extending an invitation for two couples to journey together.
