Cadillac DeVille DTS
The Cadillac DeVille underwent a major redesign for the 2000 model year. Production of the new model started in August 1999, and it featured a sportier, more aerodynamic design with a drag coefficient of 0.30. The interior was completely remodeled, with revised door panels, seats, and a freshened dashboard and radio face. Cadillac Night Vision, a series of automotive night vision systems developed with Raytheon, was available for the Deville, but discontinued in 2004. The DeVille was also ahead of its time in offering LED tail lamps.
The d'Elegance package was replaced with the DeVille DHS (DeVille High Luxury Sedan) to include power rear window sunshade and heated/massaging rear seats, and the performance DeVille Concours was renamed the DeVille DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan), with the addition of stability control, continuously variable road sensing suspension (CVRSS), and onboard navigation. This version of the DeVille lasted until June 2005, when it was replaced by the restyled DTS.
