Cadillac SRX

The all-new Cadillac SRX redefines the medium luxury utility segment with its heightened performance and flexibility. It's a vehicle capable of tackling any route, featuring a towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds (1,134 kg) - available mid-year - and offering the dynamic feel of a sport sedan combined with a unique appearance. Its cutting-edge style serves as a testament to the arrival of Cadillac in the segment. SRX takes its inspiration from the crisp, creased design of the 2001 Vizón concept vehicle and spearheads Cadillac's S-series models. Built on the sophisticated GM Sigma architecture, the vehicle is offered in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations, and was created to offer superior driving dynamics. "SRX is a true driver's utility, an innovative entry in a crowded segment," said Jay Spenchian, marketing director. "SRX is unlike any of the luxury utilities out there. It offers a great look, precise road manners and unprecedented utility." This new vehicle was first presented in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show in January 2003 and production began in mid-2003. A luxury utility with the heart and soul of a sport sedan
SRX stands out through its performance, and this is attributed to its Sigma architecture borrowed from the CTS. After being modified for SRX, it features the longest wheelbase in its class and immensely contributes to a superlative ride quality and dynamic stability.
