Chevrolet Aveo
The completely reworked Chevrolet Aveo, the successor to the Kalos, was first shown at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, and has some significant features. Its exterior is bold and striking, its interior is of a high-class quality, and it has a new, more efficient petrol engine. The Aveo is now the name for the notchback and five-door hatchback across Europe and the three-door model is set to follow in the near future. As for all Chevrolets, the Aveo is great value for money.
The Aveo hatchback embraces Chevrolet's new design, with the large horizontally split radiator grille and body-coloured crossbeam showcasing the company logo. The headlamps are curved clear-glass and the fog lamps are like spotlights under the bumper. The bonnet follows the grille's lines, and the body is contoured from front to rear, culminating in a reliable bumper and round tail lamps within clear-glass housing. Additional indicators in the side sections in front of the exterior mirrors, aid safety.
The interior has a modern and high-quality instrument panel, separated into four chrome-trimmed controls and a centre console. The air vents, audio unit, and air-conditioning dials are all prominent and user-friendly, whilst the plastic surfaces are smooth and the upper door panel is soft-touch.

It is fitted with a choice of two petrol engines – a 1.2-litre dual overhead camshaft unit with 84hp or a 1.4-litre engine with 98hp and an automatic transmission option. Both boast improved fuel efficiency and the 1.2-litre engine has improved performance despite consuming roughly 6% less fuel in the MVEG fuel efficiency comparison.
