The Daewoo Kalos, a subcompact car produced by GM Daewoo, is marketed in many countries under different names. Initially developed by an engineering team at Worthing Technical Centre in the UK, it was styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro and had its global release at Frankfurt Motor Show in 2001.
USA & Canada
In the US and Canada, the Kalos was renamed Chevrolet Aveo. It was released in August 2006 as the 2007 model, in both sedan (T250) and hatchback (T200, later re-branded Aveo5) styles. Pontiac Wave and Suzuki Swift+ are the other names under which versions of the car are sold in Canada.
