Chevrolet Bolt EV Concept
Chevrolet made a bold statement about its commitment to electrification with their introduction of the Chevrolet Bolt EV concept - an all-electric car designed to provide more than 200 miles of range for an affordable price of about $30,000. General Motors CEO Mary Barra stated,"The Bolt EV concept is all about attainability for a wide range of customers and not exclusivity." The Bolt EV concept is tailored for use in all 50 U.S. states and many global markets, and features driver modes for daily commuting or a more spirited experience. Additionally, the car is designed to support DC fast charging. A unique proportion with practically no front or rear overhang maximize the interior size, creating a spacious environment for four. Furthermore, lightweight materials such aluminum, magnesium, carbon fiber, and woven mesh help reduce the car's curb weight, as well as aero-optimizing features like vented rear fenders, to help increase range.
