Chevrolet Camaro COPO
Chevrolet Performance is presenting a limited run of factory-produced race cars for the third year of the COPO Camaro program, featuring the striking updated looks of the 2014 Camaro lineup. Only 69 of these cars will be created for NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock competition. The first of them - a single car being finished in Ice Blue Metallic - will be up for auction at 2014 Barrett-Jackson's January event in Scottsdale, Arizona, with the proceeds going to the Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans.
Every COPO Camaro race car will be hand-produced and made to start with hardware from General Motors Oshawa, Ontario assembly plant. The same body in white body shell (part number 19243374) can be purchased from Chevrolet Performance, along with other COPO-specific parts, for the purpose of building an individual race car. Furthermore, each COPO Camaro will be fitted with an NHRA-approved roll cage and extra protective components, together with racing chassis and suspension items - featuring a unique solid rear axle system instead of a standard Camaro's independent rear axle.
