Chevrolet Camaro Coupe

The 1998 model year of the fourth-generation Chevrolet Camaro, which was produced from 1993 until 2003, featured both exterior and engine changes. Manufactured on an updated F-body platform, the classic Camaro features upheld its distinct attributes from the first-generation's introduction in 1967, as it was intended for two-doors, 2+2 seating, could be purchased as either a coupe or convertible, and had a choice of pushrod V6 and V8 engines. In 1993, it was introduced with sheet molding compound (SMC) for parts such as the roof, hatch, doors, and spoiler. The vehicle was restyled in 1998. Chevrolet had moved its production from GM's Van Nuys, California assembly plant to Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada. The base model featured a 160 hp 3.4 L pushrod V6, while the Z28s had a 350LT1 V8, generating 275 hp with 325 lb-ft of torque and had the option of a six-speed manual transmission. It was even picked as the Indianapolis 500's official pace car with an edition in 1993 which had a $995 option and sported an exclusive black and white body color with multicolor pinstripes and white painted roadwheels.
