Dreams of Hot Wheels® fans of all ages will come true when the Camaro Hot Wheels® Edition arrives at Chevrolet dealers in early 2013 - the first time a full-size production Hot Wheels® car is offered for sale by any manufacturer. Chris Perry, Vice President of Chevrolet Marketing, stated, “Offering a special production model of the Camaro Hot Wheels is an opportunity to bring those memories to life, for kids of all ages.” The Hot Wheels® Edition debuted at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas and a special production run of it will be made available in the first quarter of 2013. Like the limited edition collectable toys, once these cars are gone, they are gone.
Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels® Edition has stylistic cues that Hot Wheels enthusiasts recognize - a vibrant, graphics-accented metallic paint scheme and red-lined wheels - making it unmistakably a Hot Wheels. It comes in both coupe and convertible models - in 2LT (V-6) and 2SS (V-8) trims - and exhibits characteristics of the Camaro ZL1, such as the ZL1 rear spoiler (coupe models), ZL1 front upper grille, ground effects package, and black 21-inch wheels with red outline stripe. Additionally, the car has two-tone matte hood graphics, rear taillight panel “blackout” graphics, fender “flame” graphics, and Hot Wheels grille and decklid logos.
