Chevrolet Code 130R Concept

Chevrolet introduced two concept coupes at the 2012 North American International Auto Show to engage the next generation of buyers in co-creating a car of their own. General Motors North America President Mark Reuss remarked, "Chevrolet has always stood for making the aspirational attainable for all generations". The demographic most crucial to Chevrolet is the 80 million American consumers coming of age who make up 40% of potential car-buyers; they hold a combined $1 trillion in purchasing power. In response to feedback by young consumers, Chevrolet designed Code 130R to showcase the styling and features that this group desires in a car. Fittingly, this four-seat coupe sports a red metallic paint job, matte anodized gold wheels, heritage performance-inspired styling, rear-wheel drive, an aggressive front fascia, Chevrolet fender flares, a straight body side, and the Chevy crossflag emblem. Under the hood, the turbocharged engine is combined with eAssist technology, allowing fuel-efficient driving and turbocharged performance.
