Chevrolet Colorado LS Z71 Crew Cab

The Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon are designed by GM's North American, Brazil and Isuzu operations, while Isuzu has been selling its own version since 2002. Isuzu's North American model or ‘i-Series’ features powertrains, styling and other equipment that are present in the Colorado/Canyon. The worldwide Chevy models are based on the GMT355, also used to design the Hummer H3, and are manufactured at GM plants located in Rayong, Thailand and São José dos Campos, Brazil. Meanwhile, the North American-market vehicles were made in Shreveport, Louisiana. This joint effort by GM and Isuzu to create a light-duty truck for North America is a resurrection of the 1970s effort of both firms to work together to build the Chevrolet LUV, which was a rebadged version of Isuzu Faster. The Colorado/Canyon features automatic and manual transmissions, as well as rear-wheel or four-wheel drive drivetrain. It is available in standard, extended and four-door crew cab body styles, with the 2.8L (171 cu in) LK5 I4 engine and optional 3.5 I5 engine for the Z71 package. Four-door Z71s owners are offered the 4-speed automatic transmission as standard. ZQ8 editions provide drivers with a ‘sport’ suspension and ultra-low profile fender flares, while the Xtreme edition of ZQ8 features different bumpers, skirts, grille, headlights and 18-inch wheels.
