At the 2011 Buenos Aires International Auto Show, Chevrolet introduced an adventure-themed vehicle to the public. The Colorado Rally, a second show truck version of its next generation global midsize pickup, followed the reveal of the first show truck at the Bangkok Motor Show in April. "Both trucks give a glimpse of the next generation Chevrolet global midsize pickup, which is of huge importance to consumers in many countries around the world," stated Brad Merkel, GM Global Vehicle Line Executive. The Colorado Rally demonstrates Chevrolet's commitment to durability and dependability in pickup trucks. It is characterized by robust design elements and legendary on- and off-road abilities. "Colorado Rally exhibits Chevrolet's DNA in an off-road version," explained Carlos Barba, GM South America Design Center director. "To develop this vehicle, we did an extensive research on the off-road Motorsport. Each and every detail was deeply studied to deliver maximum authenticity, designed with the rally raid category in mind, also known as cross country rallying." The crew cab version of the Chevrolet Colorado Rally Concept features a tridimensional front grille with chromed details. The triple coat pearled White body, along with golden particles and various external components in textured charcoal, give the show truck a wild look. Accessories such as a skid plate, side moldings, and mud-terrain T/A 305/60R18 tires make it ready for an off-road adventure. The bead lock wheels, machined from a single piece of aluminum, are 18" in diameter and have two distinct surface finishing.
