The Chevrolet Corvette C6R is the sixth generation of Corvettes produced and marketed by Chevrolet. Building on the C5, the design engineers tried to perfect, not reinvent, the iconic sports car. The C6 has seen visible changes to its body design, boasting exposed headlights for the first time since 1962, a larger passenger compartment, and a much sleeker look. It has all new suspension geometry and a powerful 6.0 L LS2 V8 engine, which offers 400 horsepower and a higher red line of 6500 rpm.
The C6 also has impressive fuel economy ratings, ranging from 18-26 mpg when equipped with an automatic transmission. However, skeptics may be surprised to find that the C6's manual transmission is outfitted with Computer Aided Gear Shifting (CAGS), which forces the driver to shift from 1st directly to 4th when operating at lower RPMs. With the installation of a CAGS eliminator, drivers can enjoy the ordinary 1-2-3-4-5-6 gear sequence at any RPM.
