The Chevrolet Corvette GT1 Championship Edition was launched at Sebring International Raceway to honor the considerable success of
Corvette C6.R in the American Le Mans Series GT1 category and the five-time 24 Hours of Le Mans class victories. In total, the C6.R has garnered a whopping 74 wins in international sports car competitions.
This limited production model features exclusive features, such as graphics inspired by C6.R livery which includes the Corvette Racing "Jake" mascot, ALMS championship details, and driver flags. There is also a ZR1-style body color full-width spoiler, chrome wheels, custom leather-wrapped ebony interior with yellow accent stitching, GT1 embroidery on leather seats and console armrest, and a special engine cover with carbon pattern and yellow Corvette lettering. A windshield banner is also supplied for owner installation.
This exceptional Corvette comes with a few exclusive colors namely 45U Velocity Yellow (with black headlamps) or 41U Black. The 45U Velocity Yellow cars are produced with a specific VIN sequence 300001 series, symbolizing the No. 3 Corvette C6.R, while the 41U Black version has a exclusive VIN sequence 400001 series representing the No. 4 Corvette C6.R. Each color and body style combo is limited to only 100 per variant, making the total production at 600. Additionally, the coupe and convertible have a Z51 Performance Package, NPP Performance Exhaust, and optional MX0 6-speed paddle shift automatic. The coupe also has the optional C2L dual roof package. All models come with an optional U3U Navigation System.
