Chevrolet has debuted the most powerful convertible on the market: the 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible. This exciting model packs a hefty punch with 625 hp and 635 lb-ft of torque - both records for a vehicle by Chevrolet. This marks a long-awaited return for Chevrolet, as the Z06 Convertible package was last offered back in 1963 with only 199 orders placed. Today, thanks to newer technologies and innovations such as computer-aided engineering, metallurgy, and manufacturing techniques, it is now possible to build a lightweight, open-roof structure strong enough to handle the Z06's more rigorous demands. This has allowed Chevy to maintain a similar weight to the Z06 Coupe while also sharing some of the same components and features like the Z07 Performance Package.
