To commemorate the centennial of its founding, Chevrolet proudly presents the 2012 Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition. Boasting a sleek black color scheme, distinct design accents, and the Corvette's signature sports car performance, this limited edition model symbolizes Chevrolet's rich performance history and international racing excellence.
This special package will be available on the Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1 Corvettes, beginning in the summer. "Racing and performance are the roots of Chevrolet –– a tradition carried forward today by Corvette," said Vice President of Chevrolet marketing, Rick Scheidt. "The Centennial Edition not only celebrates our 100 years, it once again pushes Corvette forward for a new generation of sports car fans."
The model will be further immortalized by a Z06 Centennial Edition Corvette being auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction on April 9, 2021. The proceeds of this sale will benefit the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, and the car itself will be the 100th VIN ending in 00100 to leave the assembly line.
