The iconic Chevrolet Corvette has been seen on various racing circuits from LeMans to club racing. Taking this legacy forward, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06X Concept was created to demonstrate how a production Corvette can be transformed into a legitimate track car. An amazing collaboration between Chevrolet, Pratt and Miller - who are together responsible for creating the Corvette Racing C6.R race cars - the concept has been further enhanced with available performance parts.
"Racing has always had a special relationship with Corvette performance and technology," said Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer. "This concept car demonstrates how passionate enthusiasts can create a mid-point vehicle between a GT race car and the production Z06."
The Chevrolet Corvette Z06X concept is a marriage of a 2011 Z06 with the 1LZ equipment package, Z07 Performance Package, and the CFZ Carbon Fiber Package. The Z06, equipped with the Z07 package, is the lightest production Corvette to date and has Magnetic Ride Control and carbon ceramic brakes. The CFZ package unleashes the aerodynamic potential of the car with the help of a front splitter.
