Chevrolet GPiX Concept

General Motors unveiled their Chevrolet GPiX crossover coupe concept at the 25th edition of the Sao Paulo International Auto Show. Developed by GM Design in Brazil, the GPiX Concept offers a potential new model segment for the Mercosur region. Its two-door, high ground clearance body is designed to handle the roads and conditions of emerging markets. With its sporty design and cost-benefit proposition, Carlos Barba, General Director of Design for GM Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, remarks that "it offers the sporty design and versatility necessary for a country with the continental dimensions of Brazil". GM Brazil and Mercosur President Jaime Ardila further expanded that this project "could result in the development of many models for Brazil and the Mercosur region". Dynamic and daring from the outside, the Chevrolet GPiX Concept is impossible to ignore with its strong profile and lateral waistline. Its eye-catching front end is highlighted by a gold bowtie in the front grille and LED headlamps, while the 17-inch mixed-use wheels and tires exude an adventurous look. The panoramic glass roof completes the design and provides maximum light and space. The interior of the GPiX Concept is also very versatile and includes features such as seating for four people, all of which fold, a modern instrument panel, a multifunctional steering wheel, and air conditioning, power steering, power windows, Bluetooth, hand-held computers, CD player, MP3 player, and more. The real star, however, is the name GPiX - a pseudonym of "Global Image", capturing both the global appeal of the Chevrolet brand and the image of the vehicle itself.
