Chevrolet Impala 2000 posters

Chevrolet Impala

The Chevrolet Impala was reintroduced for the 2000 model year to replace the Lumina. It was assembled at the Oshawa Car Assembly in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Featuring a front-wheel-drive setup, the Impala was only available with a V6 and was based on the GM W platform with 16 inch rims as standard equipment. A new Impala SS with a supercharged V6 was made available for the 2004 model year. This generation of the Impala (as well as the next generation) was very successful with sales of 290,259 units in 2004, making it the best-selling large sedan at the time. Additionally, model years 2000-2005 with the 3.4L engine have the distinction of having the best highway mileage (32mpg) of any full size automobile sold in the U.S. according to the EPA, better than the mileage of the Toyota Avalon despite a larger engine (3.4L vs. 3.0L).
