General Motors has unveiled the newly redesigned 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra heavy-duty pickups, featuring an array of fresh exterior and interior designs, and powerful and efficient new powertrains. With three different cab styles, three cargo box styles, and five wheelbase lengths, the Silverado and Sierra HD models offer unprecedented levels of performance, capability, and refinement.
The Silverado is available in WT, LT, or LTZ trim, while the Sierra is offered in WT, SLE, or SLT trim, making them truly distinct from their mainstream light-duty counterparts.

In addition to impressive looks and interior details, the Silverado and Sierra HD also boast several class-leading specs. This includes a maximum towing capacity of 16,700 lbs when equipped with a fifth-wheel hitch, a 18,500-pound gross combined vehicle weight rating for vehicles with a gas V-8, and a 13,000-pound conventional trailer weight rating enabled by a larger-capacity trailer hitch platform.
