Chevrolet has unveiled its 2015 Tahoe and Suburban models, the two bestselling full-size SUVs that offer a variety of features to appeal to both mass and individual customers. The exterior design of the vehicles has been improved, alongside the addition of new safety features and an increased range of advanced technologies. This has enabled a more refined drive, improved aerodynamics which increases fuel efficiency, and a less noisy ride. Alongside these features, Tim Mahoney, Chevrolet's Global Chief Marketing Officer said: “The all-new 2015 Suburban and Tahoe feature a range of enhancements that will continue to extend Chevrolet's legacy as the segment leader. Customers can expect improved refinement, efficiency, and safety as well as the same capability that Chevrolet is renowned for.” The vehicles have been selling well, with sales increasing by 16% in the first 6 months of 2013 compared to the same period the previous year. The Suburban model has particularly stood out, since it is the oldest continuously available nameplate in the segment and pioneering in the industry. Additionally, Dan Ammann, GM Executive Vice President and CFO, commented: “The Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban will continue to be powerful in the marketplace and offer great value for our customers, Chevrolet and General Motors. This is an important, highly profitable segment and we have set the bar high to ensure we provide our customers with the quality and performance they expect and deserve.”
