Chevrolet Suburban LTZ
Chevrolet has announced the all-new 2007 Chevy Suburban, the next generation of the full-size SUV that can handle a greater load of passengers and cargo than any other in the class. GM has reinforced the Suburban's reputation for safety by adding a 360-degree system of occupant protection and crash-avoidance technology.
The full-size Suburban SUV from GM boasts sleek exterior styling, sharper steering, more power and improved fuel economy, increased interior refinement, and enhanced quietness. The 130-inch wheelbase yields generous passenger and cargo capacity, as well as a smooth ride.
"The 2007 Suburban is the definition of capability, continuing a legacy that began back in 1935 with the launch of the very first Suburban model," said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager. "Suburban continues to satisfy customers by delivering on cargo, passenger, and towing requirements safely and efficiently."
The Suburban is scheduled to arrive on the market in the second quarter of 2006 in LS, LT and LTZ models, with 2WD and 4WD (with a Z71 off-road package available later in the year). A 5.3L V-8 with Active Fuel Management™ displacement on demand will be featured in the 1500 series, while a new, 6.0L all-aluminum V-8 with Active Fuel Management and variable valve timing (VVT) will replace it later on. The 2500 series will come with a 6.0L V-8 with VVT and an iron cylinder block.
