Chevrolet Tahoe 2000 posters

Chevrolet Tahoe

The Chevrolet Tahoe (and GMC Yukon) is a full-size SUV from General Motors. Chevrolet and GMC used to have different-sized SUVs under the Blazer and Jimmy models, until GMC rebranded the full-size Jimmy as the Yukon in 1992 and Chevrolet rebadged the compact S-10 Blazer as the Blazer four years later. Now these two models serve as General Motors' full-size SUVs with extended wheelbase versions, the Suburban for the Tahoe and Yukon XL for the Yukon. The luxury Denali model was also introduced to the Yukon lineup in 1998. By 2002, the Yukon XL was available as the Yukon XL Denali. The Chevrolet Tahoe gained immense popularity in the United States as a police car alternative to the Ford Crown Victoria, especially in rural areas. After a redesign in 2000, built on the new GMT800 platform with new engines, both vehicles were updated with smoother lines, new interior seats, dashboard, and door panels. The "StabiliTrak" stability control, XM Satellite Radio, Bose audio, and a DVD entertainment system were offered as upgrades in 2003. Both engines experienced a power improvement in 2004 with an increase of 10 hp (7.5 kW).
