Chevrolet Tahoe 2002 posters

Chevrolet Tahoe

The Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon are full-size SUVs from General Motors. From 1992 to 1995, the GMC Jimmy was rebadged as the Yukon, while the S-10 Blazer was rebadged as the Blazer and the full-size Blazer was renamed the Tahoe. Both the Tahoe and Yukon have lengthened wheelbases for sale as the Suburban (Tahoe) and Yukon XL (Yukon). A luxury Denali model was introduced for the Yukon in 1998, with a Yukon XL Denali following in 2002. In the United States, the Tahoe is often a preferred alternative to the Ford Crown Victoria for police officers, especially in rural areas. For the 2000 model year, the GMC and Chevrolet SUVs received new designs using the GMT800 platform, replacing the previous 5.7-liter small-block engine with two higher-powered versions. Softened lines were designed to make them more aerodynamic, with updated seats, dashboard, and door panels. In Mexico, the GMT800 Chevy Tahoe is sold as a Chevrolet Sonora. "StabiliTrak" stability control was available beginning in 2003, as well as XM Satellite Radio, Bose audio, and a DVD entertainment system. The 2004 model year increased both engines by 10 hp (7.5 kW).
