Chrysler 300C Touring

The Chrysler 300C Touring is the flagship sedan of the 300 collection, first displayed as a concept car at the 2003 New York Auto Show, and released as an early 2005 model. The 300C was designed by Ralph Gilles and is a full-size sport/luxury sedan and wagon. It is rear wheel drive and offers competitive styling, luxury amenities, and performance at a lower price than models such as the Buick LaCrosse and the Mercury Montego. The 300C is available in five different versions: the 300 (base model), the Touring version with added foglamps and yaw control, the Limited, the 300C, and the performance-oriented SRT-8. The base model 300 is fitted with 17" alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, traction control, and a four-speed automatic transmission, while the Touring comes with a 3.5L V6 with 250 hp and 250 ft.lbf torque. The top-line 300C uses a 5.7L Hemi V8, capable of running on four cylinders for fuel efficiency or all eight for increased power output of 340 hp and 390 ft·lbf of torque. The EPA estimates that the 300C achieves 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.
