Chrysler Imperial Concept
Crafted to embody a perfect balance between elegance and comfortable performance, the 2006 Imperial concept vehicle is Chrysler's flagship luxury sedan. Drawing inspiration from classic Imperials of the 1930s and 1950s, as well as from Chrysler's creative concept cars such as the d’Elegance, Falcon, Chronos and Firepower, the Imperial features a crisp line that arches up over the rear wheel, signalling a powerful rear-drive design. The exterior is sculpted with the handmade tradition of custom coachbuilt LeBaron bodies of the classic era, blending nobility, craftsmanship and modern artistry. The roof is pulled rearward to create a luxurious length, whilst passengers sit nearly seven inches higher than in a 300 sedan. Finally, the addition of large 22-inch aluminum wheels give the Imperial a presence of noble stature. Mike Nicholas, principal exterior designer, provides a fitting conclusion: "The Imperial’s exterior artfully blends a stately nobility, hand craftsmanship, and modern dynamic sculpture and proportion."
